This is the logo we designed for startup baby clothing company LoveDee Baby Ltd. Diane contacted us looking for a website for them to launch their e-commerce clothing store and discussed the possibililty of giving their logo a little makeover at the same time. She sent us the original design and we tried to incorporate as many of the basic elements as possible into the new one.
The heart shape itself has been given a slightly less aggressive shape and we made the point a little more rounded than sharp. We also lined the point up with the bottom of the tail of the ‘y’ in the word ‘baby’. This helps to balance the logo better and also helps the eye to find a nice baseline. We introduced a more modern font for the text and took the letter D and modified it inside the heart. The whole heart has also been given a very slight drop shadow which helps to show how the D has been cut out.
